Who We Are

 

Michael Burger & Associates specializes in Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Agricultural and Special Purposes Real Estate Appraisals. Michael Burger & Associates is based out of Kern County, but is not limited to this region. Our team of appraisers will review properties in other outlying counties as well.

Our Real Estate Appraisers include:

+ Michael P. Tiede has been a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser since November 2006. He has been appraising all types of real estate in Kern County since 2001. + Andrew M. Thomas (Drew) has been a Residential Real Estate Appraiser since August 2007. He is a Certified Residential Appraiser and has been appraising residential real estate in Kern County since 2004. + Laurie Eagleson, Real Estate Appraiser.  Laurie began appraising residential real estate in Kern County in 2003 and has been a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser since 2006. +Jody Johnston, Residential Appraiser.  Jody has been with the company since 2015.  She is a Certified Residential Appraiser and has been appraising residential real estate in Kern County since 2003.

+ Sydni Nicolici, Appraiser Trainee.  Sydni has been with Michael Burger since April 2013 and is currently working towards becoming a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and MAI. She holds an MBA from CSUB Bakersfield and an undergraduate degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

+ Rachel Unger, Appraisal Assistant to Michael Burger. Rachel Unger has been with the company since 2004. She is a graduate of San Jose State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She is working towards becoming a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.

+ Lori Suburu, Appraisal Assistant.  Lori originally started working with the company in 1999 as an administrative assistant.  After pursuing a career as a realtor Lori returned to the company in 2012 and leads the preparation of the residential department’s appraisal reports.

+ Carrie Unger, Probate Manager and Administrative Assistant to Michael Burger. Carrie Unger has been with the company since 2010. She manages the Probate Department as part of Michael Burger’s designation as a Kern County Probate Referee.  She also handles special administrative projects, prepares Inventory & Appraisals for court proceedings and assists Michael Burger with the preparation of Trust  Appraisal reports.

+ Karena Cabrera, Office Manager and Appraisal Assistant to Michael Burger.  Karena began working with the company in early 2014.  She manages all aspects of the office and also assists Michael Burger with the preparation of appraisal reports.

+ Eddie Garcia, Report Generation Lead and Administrative Assistant.  Eddie has been with the company since 2015.  He provides appraisal support and is responsible for report generation and delivery as well as data and comp research.

+Erin Gurney, Receptionist and Front Office Coordinator.  Erin has been with the company since mid-2015. She handles all reception duties as well as coordinates all front office correspondence and job management.
